Rather a short post this one, and again, just another rant about another random topic, but when I tryed to comment twice in quick sucession, on a friend's blog on wordpress, the webiste came up with the slogan:

You are commenting too quickly. Slow down.

I found that rather insulting to be honest. Jeez. What do they want me to do, not comment on the thing!

That's really annoyed me that has. If you haven't, you have to. The book is amazing and the story line and plot fantastic. The sequals are equally good, if a little drawn out.

However, as many of you have probably seen on buses and posters around our amazingly grey city, they have made Twilight into a new feature film.

I have not actually seen the film, so I can't judge the actual acting or how the film has been put together, but there are several things that already bug me about the film.

1. Victoria has Blonde Hair.
I mean come ON! The WHOLE point of a whole chapter in Twilight is that Victoria has red hair, because Bella see's the red hair on the water, thinks it's fire (She is delerious at the time) But then later remebers seeing the 'Fire' and then realises that Victoria is still alive.

2. Edward has Brown Hair.
It's meant to be blonde. There are references to his blonde hair ALL OVER the book. It's meant to be blonde. BLONDE. End of.

3. Robert Patterson (Edward) REALLY isn't the Edward sort of guy.
Well, I mean I haven't seen him act, so I haven't seen him actually play the part of Edward, But he just doesn't look the part. He better play Edward as well in Twilight as he did Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter. Or Else.

4. Bella's house opens right out onto the woods. From her Kitchen Door.
I mean, unrealistic or what? She's meant to have a garden BEFORE the woods are there, and her kitchen looks out onto the front lawn of her house, not the back garden. I hate films that are unrealisitc. You wouldn't have a wood colse enough to touch out of your kitchen window.

Okay, I will stop now with the rantings of a dissapointed fan. Well, I haven't actually seen it yet. Wait another week, and you'll have another blog on how much I loved the film and recommend it to you.

Time to go. Bye! :)

I HATE Stereotyping!

This is a post about stereotyping. (I mean obviously, look at the title :P). And why I think stereotyping is wrong.

To dicuss this, first of all we must have a definition of stereotyping. Stereotyping is when you class someone as a certain type of person because of a certain pastime of theirs, the sort of music they listen to, or because how they dress, or how a person acts.

Stereotyping is so integrated into our society today, it is almost futile to think about trying to stop people stereotyping. Even I stereotype, however much I am against it, and most of the time I am not even thinking about it. It has become second nature, but even so, when I realise I am doing it I try to stop it. It won't hurt anyone to try. Most people stereotype themselves into a group of people to try and fit in, because they feel they need to. And some of the time those people go to the extreme, and then put the blame it on the category of people that they are ''fitting in with.''

Halfway through writing this blog, I had this online conversation with a person whom I have known for a short while of time, who has exactly helped me prove my point.
(Note, They started the conversation, not me. And also, for the purposes of privacy, the guy who was talking to me is going to be named 'Mr. X!!!'. Also, this is all directly copied and pasted from the MSN conversation. Not one bit has been changed, except for his name.)

Mr X!!! says:
wot kind or person woud u call urself as, emo, chav
Lizi; says:
Nothing. I dont stereo type. I am myself. Not anything else and I dont 'fit' into a stereotypical group and i don't try to.
Mr X!!! says:
bull shit there are only a few ppl that dont fit into any
Lizi; says:
your mum bullshit!
Mr X!! says:
now thats just mean
Mr X!!! says:
wot did i say to make u say that
Mr X!!! says:
and i can more or less guess wot u are
Mr X!!! says:
or wot u were in prinry skl (Note, by prinry skl he means Primary School)
Mr X!! says:
there like 3 ppl in every school that doent fall into any stereo types
Lizi; says:
That's just cause everyone TRIES to fit into a stereotype because they are a lowlife and want to be the same as everyone else, not express themself as an individual.
Mr X!!! says:
thats a lie. not every one. not me
Mr X!!! says:
and thats onli coz most ppl do
Mr X!!! says:
and wot ur thinking of are emos
Mr X!!! says:
there the only ppl like that (Note, the phrasing in this sentence is rather misleading. What he's saying is ''They're the only people like that'', Referring to the ''emo'' comment he made earlier.)
Lizi; says:
No, dude. you have a lot to learn mate.
Mr X!!! says:
no i dont u do
Mr X!!! says:
a hell of a lot
Lizi; says:
Mr X, just shutup.

This is a prime example of how the most of the people view the world. Everyone fits in somewhere, and when they don't, they are an outcast. However, most people are also very contradicting. I don't know if you noticed, but 'Mr X!!!' also contradicted himself in that paragraph. He said that everyone fits into a group of people (''bull shit there are only a few ppl that dont fit into any''), but then straight away afterwards said that he himself didn't fit into a stereotype, just after he was attacked for not being individualistic. (''thats a lie. not every one. not me'') He then immediatly went on to talk about emo's. This guy, and many other people are so shallow that they can't see below what a person is wearing or what they're listening to to actually see the real them.

As I have said in previous blogs, this world is so ironic. To be popular and to be liked, you have to fit in somewhere. You have to swim with the ocean to avoid being drowned by the current. However, to be liked you also have to be individualistic. You have to try and be different and stand out from the crowd so people will notice you. Only dead fish swim with the sea. To be liked you have to swim against the current, but also you have to swim with it at the same time. Technically, thats standing still. You can't get anywhere standing still. You can accomplish nothing.

Why can't we just be who we are?

When I talk about stereotyping, I'm not just talking about Emo, Chav, Sweetmate etc, but also things like gay, and lesbian and racist. All of these are stereotyping too.

It doesn't hurt to have the same interests as anyone else, or to dress the same as another person, or to even copy a person and aspire to be them, because you admire them and their values. But that doesn't mean we should class everyone who dresses in black as a goth, everyone who likes to be by themselves an emo, every girl who is slightly macho a lesbian, and every boy who wears skinny jeans, or enjoy's girls' company a gay.
Every asian person, a terrorist.
Every person in tracksuits, a chav.
Every person who listens to rock, a grunge.
Every jewish person, stingy.

Every white person, a pikey.
Every muslim, an extremist.
Every homless person, a druggy,
Or every person with big hair and rainbow clothes, a seen kid.

Everyone with glasses, a geek.

Girl's who enjoy male's company, a whore.

Every person is slightly different, and should be who they want to be.
Don't call someone something because of what they look like or how they dress.
What they listen to, or who they hang around with.
Get to know someone before you start calling them anything.

Some stereotypes are negative, and some positive. But still, good or bad we should all just be who we are. It's fine to want to fit in. It's fine to be different. Do what you want. As long as it is what you want, and not what someone else has said you have to do.
Not what someone else has said you are.
Not what someone else has stereotyped you as.

For Those Who Love.

It's true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives. It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. Don't cry over anyone who won't cry over you. What do you do when the only person that can stop you crying, is the person that made you cry?

It hurts to love someone and not to be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally do meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

We spend so much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead, we should be perfecting the love we give. Some thoughts are better left unsaid, some feelings are better left kept to yourself, but love has its way of expressing itself despite the silence.

When you truly care for someone, you don't look for faults. You don't look for answers, you don't look for mistakes. Instead, you fight the mistakes, you accept the faults, and you overlook excuses. The measure of love is when you love without measure. In life, there are very rare chances that you'll meet the person you love and who loves you in return. So once you have it, don't ever let go. The chance might never come your way again.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return, just wait for it to grow in their hearts. But if it doesn't, be content that it grew in yours. It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Love comes to those who still hope even though they've been disappointed; to those who still believe even though they've been betrayed; to those who still need love even though they've been hurt before. The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not twist them with our own image, otherwise we love only our own reflection of ourselves that we find in them.

You cannot finish a book without closing its chapters. If you want to go on, then you have to leave your past as you turn the pages of life. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

Never say goodbye when you still want to try, never give up when you still feel you can take it, never say you don't love that person anymore when you don't really want to let go. Friendship beings with a smile, Love begins with a kiss, Life ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on forgotten past. You can't get on well in life until you let go of your past failures and headaches. Everything is okay in the end; If it's not okay, it's not the end.

Lol. Roflcopter. I'm Philosophical Mayn (H)

So. W'sup. I'm new to this thing. And I have found its pretty damn awsome. I've read a few other blogs, and to me they all seem to be pretty philosphical. Maybe I should put something philosophical in here. Just to look cool and fit in.

I hate fitting it. That's what most people spend their whole life doing, trying to fit in, or trying to differenciate themselves from everyone else so that they feel special or look different. We live in a world thats so ironic. Be the same as everyone else, but at the same time an individual. God damn it, why can't we just be who we are?

See.. Philosophicalness :p

I hate odd numbers. Don't they just stick out at you, and shout,
'I'm so different, look at me I'm ODD!'
But then again, even numbers are so boring. Like 2 for example. What's so special about 2? It's just so dull.
The number 6 has a bit of both, being only a multiple of prime numbers and all. 6 is special to me. I like 6.

According to the blogspot site, I'm 114. But I'm actually 14. Soon to be 15. 114's another number I like. It's such a positive thing, unlike 81, the bastard.

I hate people who have no taste in music. I understand people might like different artists or styles, but people who just listen to the rap trash you see on music stations, those are the people you know haven't really lived. The people who class you as an emo or a goth for listening to rock music, when all you're really doing is indulging in an art form higher than what they could ever or even try to understand.

I Hate Stereotyping.

I go to a very multicultural school in the north of London. A school that's got a bad reputation, but people shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. It's a good school. It has pretty cool people in it. And I have pretty cool friends. :P Sometimes. When they let themselves go.

Speaking of books, I love books. Books are amazing. They open your mind to a whole new dimension, take you to places you've never been before, allow you to explore thoughts and ideas you've never thought possible. Some girl said to me the other day
'You neek, you read about 2 books a day! How do you do it? I've never got through an entire book in my whole life!'
And to me, someone who's been reading proper books since I was about 6, I found it almost impossible to comprehend how someone could not have ever thought to open the pages of a dusty old tome, or a crisp, freshly printed book, and to indulge in the characters, the life, and the problems of another world. How they refused to open themselves to see what was beyond them and look towards an open mind.

I Recently Fell In Love With David Bowie.

I take Geography, Spanish, Music and Drama, alongside all of the other boring subjects we're made to do in life. I have a passion for photography though, especially when it's just been snowing and the frost is in crystals at your feet. I Love my music lessons. However I hate english literature with a passion. Not because I hate books, but because of the way in which teachers tell you to interpret text. Not once do I ever think a author has thought to themselves,
'Oh, how do I make this randomly obscure sentence about setting link back to the way in which a character prefers his food just before he goes to sleep?' or 'Maybe if I write this paragraph like this, then I can convey several different baffling meanings to the audience at once and so show numerous things from the way in which I have used this one dull adjective.'
I mean, why would a writer ever think like that? Or a reader read like that? It's not as if you go that in depth into a story whilst reading it for the first time. Most people (i.e. The people who actually read a story for comfort and entertainment rather than those who read it for an analysis assignment) would just read it, fall in love with a character, hate another, empathise, and that's what makes a good story. One you can really get into and relate to.

I Hate Homophobia.

Recently I have given up on all forms of male kind. They are good for nothing. The ones who are meant to be your friends aren't really, the ones who are nice to you just want something else, and the good ones sometimes are just so plain stupid that they cut you in half with most of the things they say. Girls are much better company. No wonder boys like us so much. We're amazing. (That was rather feminist. Haha, I'm not a feminist. But I do think girls are MUCH easier to understand than boys. But some boys are pretty awesome. Just a few are dickheads. I really shouldn't have made a generalised attack. I'm sorry.) And on the subject of boys, I'd like to briefly give my opinions on love. Love hurts too much. At this age. What we really should be doing is having fun, not growing up before our time. Experimenting. Sometimes its good to have a relationship. But when it gets too serious, people get hurt and fall out. Sometimes its good to be different, but in affairs of the heart, you should usually just go with the crowd. Because when you do get hurt, there will actually be somebody you can relate to and talk to. Someone who will listen to you and tell you what to do. Someone to make you feel better. Someone that I don't believe I had.

I've told you what I like and what I dislike. What I hate and what I love. And I've been pretty damn philospical in the process.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rawritslizi.blogspot.com/2008/12/lol-roflcopter-im-philosophical-mayn-h.html' title='Lol.
